What Weekend?

[Okay, so I think I've skipped a few entries, but if you really must read them, check all my other blogs, lol.]

So it's already Monday and I'm slightly peeved that the weekend came and went so quickly. Friday night I had a night bus and didn't get off work until nearly 1am...and then I got up extremely early (about 7:30am) on Saturday morning to go to Atlanta to practice with the Atlanta Rollergirls. When we got up there, there was a karate tournament being held at the rink and the owners didn't inform the rollergirls about it...needless to say, they were peeved, and we drove up there for absolutely nothing. When I got home that afternoon, I took a long nap. When I woke up, it was about time to get BACK into derby business, as I had to attend a Merchandise Committee meeting. It didn't take long and we got all of our merchandise planned out and will be submitting an order this week. I'm super excited to finally have official merch!

After the meeting, I went home and I started playing WOW...I think I played until about 3am. I don't get to play that much during the week (yay school! yay job!), so I took full advantage of all of my Saturday playing time. It was fun. I think I'm level 13 now. I hope to see you on there more, Tony! It's so much more fun to have someone to play with than to go solo all the dang time.

Sunday...I had to be at work at noon so I slept in as much as I could. When I got off work, I helped Ryan do a few dishes and then I had to go to a derby league meeting. The weather was disgusting, it was pouring down rain AND in the 30s. We head over to Athens Arena and the guy who owns it never showed up to let us in, so we had to rush elsewhere for our meeting. Luckily everyone got to the other location safe and sound and we had our meeting. I was nominated to be a team captain and we had voting last night. There were five of us, and two captains will be chosen by Sunday. I'm kind of nervous, because I would really love to be a captain, but also at the same time I really don't mind any of the other girls who were nominated being a captain. They are all awesome and some of our best skaters. Fingers are still crossed, though! (Who the heck would vote for me? I don't know! I voted for myself, though... >_>)

After the meeting, I went home and had dinner with the hubby and just crashed. I was exhausted. I still am. At least this morning we met at Aderhold here on campus and didn't have to go out to Winder (a 40 minute drive every morning). I am going to have a hard time adjusting to teacher life. Getting up at 6am just so I can have time to shower and blow dry my hair is NOT cool with me. I am lazy and I like to be lazy, and I like to let my hair air dry or just wad it up in a gross ponytail. Whee.
