My parents are such freaks
Random memory from my last trip home:
It's Mother's Day Will and I are out with my parents bumming around the city until we can take them out to dinner. Will suggested that we take them to the MOCA. Not the most exciting destination (I'm a bigger fan of the MOMA) but the list of things you can do with your parents on a Sunday afternoon is rather limited.
We get to the MOCA's entrance and my mom recoils in horror when she sees the admission prices.
Mom- "EIGHT DOLLARS??? EIGHT DOLLARS??? That's so much money! I'm not going."
Dad- "I'm not going either- that's ridiculous."
Me- "It's not a big deal I'll pay. It's not that much."
Dad- "No way... 8 bucks for a stupid museum..." At which point he plops down on a bench on the sidewalk and continues "I'm just going sit here- the breeze is pretty nice and it's FREE."
