I do not own pits or any other type of animal that is considered to be a hazard to the public but that was not by choice it was just how it happend. I do know Pit owners and they have some of the most loyal dogs i know with the exception of one of my turtles and one of my cats all the rest of my many animals were "rescued". My animals are part of my family and just as important as any other member Texas was very lucky and barely avoided Breed Specific Legislation but we might not be next time :(
No pet owner should have to live with the lose of a family member because the law thinks that one day it might be a possiblility that that animal could harm another living thing. I could not live without the love and loyalty of my pets no one should have to.
