i was looking at a photo today of some happy children up in a tree smiling at the camera. It was one of those photo's that are ment to look like something taken back in the 50's. This photo led me to think about my mother's shoe box of all her old photo's of when she was a baby and a teenager. They all have been worn at the edges and some feel ( Read more... )

My sister was once in the basement of a building that deep in south philly, helping to clean it for some reason. She found a box, I believe it was made of tin, that had dozens and dozens of old black and white photos of a family from south philly that had probably lived there some 50 years ago. It was crazy to look at these images. It was as if we were looking into another world, not only because of the obvious time period difference, but because we were in a way looking through the eyes of these people ( ... )
