abandoned lj...
well it feels like I have abandoned LJ...and its not because of lack of internet access or time. I think its just that I find LJ too addictive...I have to check and see if there are new posts...its not something I can easily moderate. The easiest way to not feel obsessed about LJ is to not use LJ at all. Plus there's that whole, LJ-as-a-substitute for real life vs. having a real life and interacting with people. I'm finding real life to be preferable.
But I still want to keep in contact with people so I'm going to start reading journals only and not communities.
Anyways, as an update to my life, I have made maple syrup and gotten drunk with most of Patrick's (huge) extended family. I have really enjoyed my time here, but in 2 weeks it comes to a close (for now) we'll be taking the long way around back to KC in time for my brother's graduation from KU on May 17th. No definite plans have been made so far, but the eastern seaboard (Its one of the few places in the US I haven't been) is for sure and I would really hope to make it back to New Orleans, but that part is debatable since its a bit out of the way.
We'll be sticking around for a few weeks (probably about 2 weeks, 5 days longer than I can stand to be living with my mother) and going to denver in early June for a big couch surfing camp-out. And then Portland yay. After that is still up in the air (and damn, I was really hoping to know what happens next by now, oh well)
