Molly loves to visit the hub. I'm not sure she's quite grasped the fact that her Daddys deal with some very weird stuff, but at least we'll be there when she does, and we're not going to keep it a secret from her, and there's no way Jack'll retcon anyone because if he does there'll be hell to pay.

Sounds like she and Molly'd get on well. Molly's more subversive. She tends to very quietly change everything until it's just how she likes it, without making much fuss, it all just... happens. I supose she gets that from me!

Oh yes, Molly's room is basically an aladdin's cave of books. She can't read enough, and we've never said 'that's too hard for you' so she'll read just about anything.

It's not her birthday, it's just a little get-together, you dwon't need to bring anything beyond a sleeping bag and pjs and a change of clothes for Rain, and whatever you want to bring for yourself. You can easily have the spare room, but Moll might insist on your presence at the sleepover, and so long as you don't mind the floor, I'd suggest bringing a sleeping bag etc for yourself as well.

I think they'll get on just fine. Molly doesn't really do video games so much, but she likes to watch owen play. So do I. Perhaps Rain could teach her some things...

We've ended up having to bring Rain in with us sometimes, she sits down with Owen and helps out there. She's even ended up on a weevil hunt, certainly not out of choice that one was. Then again weevils happen to do what me and Owen say so she's pretty much safe if only one of us is there, but both that night they stood no chance.

If Rain doesn't like something, you know about it. Owen says shes like me, I say she's like him. I dread to think about what's going to happen when she wants to date.

Does it matter? Passing on books is something we'd do anyway.

Sounds good. Sleeping on the floor would be fine, slept in odder places. Though I might have to buy a sleeping bag for me, since me and Owen aren't big on the whole camping thing and Rain when she wanted to go went with school.

Owen still thinks it's something I play tetris lay upside down on the sofa and can have conversations with him on level nine. I draw the line when he thinks its then fun to tickle me as a distraction, because well... you know. We now have the rule I can only play tetris if Rain is in bed or sleeping over somewhere.

Molly tends to hang out with whoever's the least busy. Tosh teaches her how to play video games like pacman, Gwen and Rhys swing in and out with Rhydian, and if Gwen's got stuff to do, and Rhys hasn't they quite often go around the bay; Rhys and the kids.

I know that Owen's taken her to see the weevils, but I'm not sure she knows quite what they are. She gets good stories out of Martha and Jack, but I never know if she believes them or not.

It's all very un-Torchwood. We stop the rift from being a problem... because if it's a problem then our kids might get hurt, and if our kids get hurt then we go batshit insane and start being a problem for the rift!

You've got a few years to go yet. I'm just waiting until Molly needs 'the talk'. I'm already expecting it to have to be my job, but then again, Owen may want to impress his doctorly knowledge upon his daughter.

Not really, thanks very much, Molly'll be so pleased.

I think we might have one somewhere. If not, I know that Gwen and Rhys have got them, Rhys likes taking his boy camping, so if you want one to borrow...

That's quite a skill. Perhaps you shouldn't show Molly how to play Tetris just yet.

Tickling can get a bit boisterous... and loud... and involved... Luckily I still have my stopwatch. Silence is... challenging.

Martha's still around, huh. I don't get along with Martha so well. Think it's whatever the hell makes the weevils react to me and who ever so much as raises their voice to Owen and I'm about gets me to deal with. He thinks it's bloody hilarious, though he's exactly the same with me. We're even worse if it's Rain. People think Jack can be bad. They've not seen me.

I know, I'm glad. Owen will probably insist she brings them round so he can scare the hell out of anyone she brings back. Rain had text books and me and Owen are well, quite open about a lot of things. He says I'm like Jack, though with nice legs and a much better body.

Thanks for the offer but I think I should buy one, could lead to something interesting and new for me and Owen.

He does get carried away sometimes though I've found ties work quite nicely with my Owen. Then again suprises work well. Find time to escape from work before him and not tell him Rain's staying over at a friends and just be waiting for him wearing a pink bow choker he's quiet then. Of course he mutters things but I think he's just saying how thankful he is.

She is, she swings in and out, as Owen's our medic Martha's pretty much just a friend who happens to also have security clearance, although that doesn't really stop people from dragging randoms here. The number of people I've had to retcon because they've come through the lift whilst snogging and not realised...

I don't think I'll be antagonising you any time soon then.

Umm...

What, like ending up in the Beacons again? No fear. I don't do camping.

I'm not sure a pink choker is quite me, but you're right about the ties. *grin*

He mutters a lot. It's usually affectionate grumbling mixed with teasing, it tends to stop fairly quickly once things get going.

Kissing? Oh the lift... heh, how quaint.

I'm just a little overprotective. Can't help it.

I was meaning more waking up on the living room floor again. Found this perfect spot that gets the sun in the morning so nice to wake up to. Camping maybe on the roof garden but that's about it.

Any colour ribbon works. Jack was less than impressed that morning, his fault if he leaves us alone in the hub and buggers off somewhere. It's a contest now see who can do things in the most places in the hub.

Quaint you might think, but it's bloody annoying especially as they keep doing it.

I think every parent is.

Much more friendly. Comfy, no trekking into the wilderness, and if you feel like it you can watch telly.

Is this a competiton between you and Owen and your me and Jack? I think they can give you a run for your money! Jack does things like that. He tends to stop it if I promise him coffee. Poke your me and tell him to make Jack coffee whenever you ask him to, it distracts him.

I asked Molly, and she said having Rain over would be fine, but I think letting them meet beforehand would be a good idea. Apparently the sleepover starts at seven-ish, so if you get here at about six we can all get settled before Moll's friends arrive.

Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier, we've spent all day spring cleaning the house!

Prefer to keep pushing public decency laws.

Tv, champagne, go back to bed...

We can be there then, sorted out books for her so it'll be nice. Have to say bye to my Owen for the weekend. Know what hell be up to if Jack doesn't call him in, tv and doing nothing. He does need a break.

Good good. Thanks very much. Indeed. I think mine was hoping for a quiet weekend in. He's not getting it. We've got Molly and four others as well as you and Rain. And he's not expecting you yet. I will let him know though!

The plan for the sleepover at the moment is all the kids (possibly plus you, but I'm not sure) to sleep in the sitting room on the floor in sleeping bags. There will be fizzy drinks and pizza. There will probably be films and games, but I'm not sure what. Molly's hosting, we're just the ones paying for it. *grin*

What tell him and miss watching him possibly freak out?

Not allowed to sleep on the floor, doctor's orders, sofa is fine though he gets twitchy when I mention it. I may have a couple of time to see his reaction.
