12th graders at St. Ignatius are amazingly talented
Let's see, the last two days have been super fantastico. Yesterday Mike and I felt the deep burn as we worked out and then Alex and I went to Ignatius to see Sam's Club IDEA talent show which was, in a word, splendiful. Kyle and Sam were awesome beyond words! Fill in the blank, with everything you've ever said. That's the song they played. It was uber-original, but had a Coldplay-esque feel. I've never been more happy than watching Sam perform and smiling from ear to ear. The rock god himself even looked my way while he was performing,and smiled!
After the show we went back to Sam's..and I'd have been contend to lay in Sam's bed with he and Alex for a million hours. I've missed them more than I care to think about. Words in this here livejournal cannot even express my elation at walking into the theatre and seeing Sam. Best. Hug. Ever. It's good to be home. Sam and Alex, like, whoa. I'm lucky.
Really, after seeing Sam and Alex, together with me, again, all I want is the summer. It's much too cold to do the things that made my summer. We can't swim, we can't take out a golf cart on the course at 2am, we can't play frolf and smoke at the dip spot.
Don't get me wrong I love my friends at Knox. I live with them, I adore them. I couldn't have asked for a better fall term, I love how things have ended up. It's just going to be hard to go back (again) to not seeing my friends (namely, Sam and Alex) again. I'm going to make a very selfish wish here in livejournal, I really hope Sam comes to Knox. He won't, but it's just something I'm hoping. And summer '06 will be exceedingly different from last summer. I'm not a moron, I know that. This is much too long and whiny. Goodbye.
