The blahs
Home home home! I had a wonderful time back home with the fam. I got to see some friends, which was nice, though brief. Before I went home last week, I prayed that everyone would make it safe and it would be a good weekend. It was, but I fell sick. I have decided that that was God's way of giving me what I wanted but not everything ;)
I got to see all the kiddies (my nephews and niece) and caught up with my cousins, especially ones I hadn't seen in a LONG time. It sucks that my trips home aren't as frequent as I wish them to be. I do want to move back or at least be a little closer to home so I don't have to think about booking tickets well ahead of time and worry about all that stuff.
Good news! I got my phone number back! So I can go back to yakking for hours, hurrah! I do miss my phone, evil as it was. It's a very strange thing to downgrade from a phone that has a speakerphone ability, a camera and all those awesome ringtones I created. Now I have that early Samsung model that everyone had as their very first phone--not colour and no special capabilities. But hey, I need a phone to talk, not for anything else, so I am happy.
Roland Garros started! I didn't watch very many matches since playing with my nephew was more interesting than tennis (did I just say something was more exciting than tennis? I think I just did). I swear, babies and little kids are just way too much fun. I can literally spend hours just watching them do their baby and little-kid things. Thus I didn't watch as much tennis as I could've, but it wasn't a big deal since there were lots of rain delays at the French Open anyway. The top four seeds progressed and I was super happy to see my old fave Lleyton Hewitt get through to the second. GAH I still have a soft spot for that angry Aussie. One match I'm worried about is Marat Safin vs. No. 4 Nikolay Davydenko. ARRRRRRGHHHHHH...I hope the second round curse doesn't hinder Safin.
OK...time to upload some pics and sign out. I need to unpack and call it an early night.
