Of airport delays, babies and Bond...

I'm home for xmas, which has been wonderful. Oh right, Merry Xmas! Hope you all are having a white or semi-white Christmas.

So, on Friday I'm at the airport to catch my flight back home. Now, I have to drive about an hour and a half to this airport 'cos to fly out of my city is more expensive, so I figure the drive to BWI is worth it for the cheaper tickets. Anyway, I leave work early, beat the rush hour traffic and get a parking spot before the lot closes and everything. I get to the security checkpoint where the official throws away my bottle of unopened Aquafina water. UNOPENED. I understand the threat of liquids and stuff but seriously...

It wasn't even that they took the bottle of water away. Fine. I can deal with that. But they threw it out. In India, people don't have clean water to drink...they buy bottles of water to have a clean drink. She threw away the bottle of water. All I'm going to say is, when there are water shortages, you better freaking revise this liquids rule. I'm sorry, but you could be missing a lot of worse other things that probably pass through the security checkpoints instead of a bottle of unopened water.

She asked me if I wanted to drink the whole thing. What, while people pass through the damn point, I drink all the water? I'd rather she have kept it for herself to drink or something. I would have been fine with that.

Stupid regulations. Jeeves.

And on top of that, my flight was superly delayed. And since I had come to the airport incredibly early (I got to my gate two and a half hours before my flight), I had to wait four and a half hours till we actually got on the flight. And get this: We're called to board our flight. We do so, only to have the flight captain and flight attendant run out and tell us to go back. We're confused and return to the lounge to learn that air traffic control had given a clarence (clearance?) time that was an hour and a half away and the flight people decided it better we wait in the lounge. GRRRRRR. But thankfully they got us to board about 20 minutes later and we weren't delayed an hour and a half. So I was supposed to get home around 9 p.m. I got home at midnight.

I'm glad my flight wasn't delayed to the next morning. At least I got home the same night...I can't say the same for the numerous people who were stranded in the airports. I hope they got home in time for Xmas.

Saturday I went to visit my cousin and see my baby nephew. It was a good time spent with my relatives and the little one is a cutie. All babies are cute but every time I see a "new" one, I feel like he or she is cuter than the ones before. Although I think my baby brother was the cutest baby ever...that's just bias :P But as I said, all babies are cute and my nephew is adorable.

And then yesterday, I finally, finally watched "Casino Royale." And it was GOOD. So good. I know a lot of people didn't believe in Daniel Craig but he is a great James Bond. My favourite is Sean Connery but Daniel Craig may surpass Connery. The reason is because it was so nice to see a bond that wasn't suited up the whole time. I just can't remember one of the other Bonds dressed in a sweater and jeans or something. And he looked good. The movie just had that usual Bond movie charm but it also fit so well for the 21st century. I liked Pierce Brosnan but I felt like Daniel Craig just fit better. I don't really know what I'm talking about, except that I REALLY liked it. I'm so going to watch it again, especially since my mother fell asleep halfway.

So there's my update. It wasn't much of anything but well, I would go on more about "Casino Royale" but i don't think you really want that. Ooh and the Doctor Who Xmas Special was today...I'll have to see if someone put it up already! Hurrah! And got to catch up on Saturday's "Robin Hood." It's part one of the season finale!

Hope you all have a very cheery, happy Christmas. Take care, stay safe and have fun!
