Is it weird that the happiest character I've written so far for NaNoWriMo is my fictionalized version of Mohamed Atta?
(Yes, I'm doing it again, with a tweaked approach so I don't do what I did last year and never do anything with what I wrote. It is harder this year. Fewer nerves, more genuine self-doubt instead of the buzzy I-just-need-reassurance kind. But I'm doing it.)
