|Winter Break Recap|
- New Year's party...
was a bunch of fun, despite Travis, Carlo and I's pizza making injuries. And the flaming kid playing guitar in my basement. And I got in trouble from Sam for using some random high school kid's cell phone that was laying around my basement. Napolean Dynamite is fun to laugh at.
- Christmas party...
was a jolly good time as well. Megan made us all cozy blankets, Carlo got us cozy bears and PJ pants, and Sara got me the coveted girly-movie w/ wheat thins and mt dew. Garden State was not as good as we thought it'd be, tho. We opened gifts in sparatic shifts during W/out A Trace commercials.
- Lauran & I...
had an eventful couple of days together, after finally getting a hold of eachother. She wanted me to meet her new boy, Kyle, and so she invited me to stay over at their place (apartment in Edgar) and play pool and help her make dinner for Kyle and his buddies from work (some of which were as old as my dad, which was kinda kreepy, but oh well). Before heading over to her place we payed a long overdue visit to Josh, who was home from the Army for a while. Fun times. Me and my teammate, a 40-something year old man named Mark, beat everyone shooting pool. Kyle is a good guy, but the fact that he has a one-year-old son from a previous relationship kinda weirds me out. Yea. But, he's better than any of her past boyfriends...
- Jestin & I...
spent a day playing pinball and listening to our cd collections and watching a war movie he bought and insisted he had never seen before after he knocked loudly on my bedroom door at 9 in the morning. This of course after he let himself into the house noticing my parents weren't home. Anyway tho, I appreciated the bonding time with my favorite neighbor. Even if he did interupt my hair straightening time. His girlfriend, Lindsey, called him a couple times that day and then invited herself over. Not that I cared, really, but it was a little offending that she's never wanted anything to do with me until she realized her boyfriend was hanging out with me. heh...oh well. Kids will be kids.
- Nikki & I...
are planning an elaborate roadtrip northward, near our cottages, to hit up the "Mennonite Store" (aka Prarie Pines general store) and admire the bulk candy, specialty soaps, pickled beets, and a cheese wheel or two. I'm hoping we can also make a stop by the bar formally known as Herb's (aka Harrison Pub, I think) and play some pool. This is scheduled for a week from today, so hold on to your bonnets and keys.
Ahhh! omg! The OC is on!
(and then CSI and then W/out a Trace!!)
