well hello guys!

and happy new year!! boy, what a year its been! ive been all over the place and up and around just been havin a good time. although, this year's winter break has been a million times quieter than last year's... looking back at my journal one year ago, i was doing something like every day, drinking and partying and going to lives/ karaoke etc.... this year i have done NONE of that... so sad!!

last year bronfish was in town and i met her and lauren and tentomushi and had some good times... i was actually in suitengumae today and it reminded me of when i drank an entire bottle of cheap wine myself and ended up puking in her sink o_o;; thats the ONLY time ive been drunk in japan!

so anyway, this year i wanted to party it up like everyday but that really didn't happen... i didnt really know what was going on and while i went to a few get-together things they werent really all that exciting. what i *have* been doing, is chilling in my new apartment in shinjuku~ this place is SO FREAKIN awesome and i LOVE living in the city. i love looking out of the blacony and seeing aoyama and the towers of shibuya rising above yoyogi park...and i love looking out of my window and seeing mynds and docomo tower...and our genkan faces the tocho and center buildings and all the skyscrapers of shinjuku...and if it couldnt get any better, the sun sets over tokyo opera city. it just feels like a dream to have an address in shibuya *_*;; now my keitai addy makes sense! HAHAHA...>_>;; so, uh, anyway, if anyone wants to come chill, you gotta! *wink wink*

for xmas i had dinner at home with miguel and i went all-out and bought camembert cheese, frech bread and garlic butter from the import stores and even made my owl log roll strawberry cake (i called miguel and was like 'do you have a cake?" and he's all "what cake?!?" ...YOU CANT HAVE XMAS HERE W/O A CAKE!!!>_____< its the dumbest thing ever, but you GOTTA do it. i can do without the fried chicken, but the CAKE, man, the *CAKE*...
so then we watched "narnia" and it kicked ass and then i went to bed early. happy xmas to me! >_>;; my mom sent me a package with this cool neutrogena microdermabrasion thing tho that seems to be pretty cool and makes my skin supa smooth. she did good this christmas!

new years was spent with 'liv and uran, this super cool jazz singer who sang at liv's bday party, and a japanese kid my age named kenichi(??!kouichi?) . uran took us to this place off of the seibu ikebukuro sen that was near her jikka (parent's house) and even though it was tokyo, it was SO NOT tokyo.. the houses were waay to huge and new and it was way too quiet, and we went to this deserted temple on a huge pond that was like a lake and rang in the new year. we got there like seriously 5 minutes before midnight (a repeat of last year!) and when it hit midnight, you could hear the monks who were hitting the gongs in the distance and all these birds fluttered up and we were the only ones there and it was really beautiful. then we went up to a normal jinja and waited in line for like an hour keeping warm with takoyaki and amazake so we could do hatsumoude. after that we all went back to ebisu to meet up with a few guys, like rui who's in a band here but grew up in NYC and is pretty damn cool, and drink the night away. i drank a MILLION cups of nihonshu, i swear, but i just couldnt get drunk. probably because i was drinking water with every sip cuz straight alcohol is just really disgusting to me. eh..*shrugs*

other than that, ive been doing a few little modeling /fitting jobs but nothing with styling... im afraid i'll never be a stylist at this pace! >_< i got offered a job in a clothing company *laughs* only because i was doing this fitting job and was silent the whole time and then the designers were wondering my measurements and i told them i was pretty average and theyre all like "woah!! you speak japanese?! you should work for us!" and im like....eh? its funny how you can still really impress people by just being able to speak the language of the country you happen to be living in. ;p

i have also been collecting furniture for the new place and since we didnt use a moving truck miguel and i have been going back and forth to sagamiono with our suitcases just bringing stuff little by little. it took three days to get all my bedding alone here! we so far curtains, a rug, table, pantry/cabinet, tv/dvd/vcr/speakers/, stove, and vacuum. we still need to buy a tv stand, sofa, and fridge, we have a washing machine, but its all the way in sagamiono and its big >_< i still need to get my sewing machines, steamer, and stand up mirror along with all my crap i dont use much from sagamiono.

its been a lot of fun hanging out with miguel tho..sometimes i feel like were too much like will &grace... which is scary because im not nearly as pathetic as grace is >_>;; we watch movies almost every day and he makes me dvds to drop me bitchy little hints like the last one with "cruel intentions" on it.. >_>;; what is that supposed to mean!? ... i loved the movie, tho...already watched it twice..>_>;;;

augh... so i actually have to go back to class on tuesday and i cant believe it because i DO NOT feel like a student anymore... im a big girl in a big city, yo! i dont need no homework! ...but alas, i still have a sleeve to attach, and a hem to raise on my jacket, and a styling board to do by tuesday. i also have knitting to do but i fukkin hate knitting and might not do it..>_<

as much fun as it has been not having a boyfriend for a year (ok... over a year..>_<) i think its about time to find me a man to have fun with! no? yes, i think so... augh...just waiting and waiting and waiting ...and being a fag hag is fun, but ehh...its not exactly a good realtionship career..

so im gonna get back to work on that sleeve... see you all through the year! yoroshiku!
