sorry ESPN it was NOT a boring game
The fact that they ended in a tie and without goals did NOT make this match boring. NED-ARG was very well played on both sides--lots of scoring opportunities. So for Julie freakin' Foudy to turn around and say this was boring is just freakin' ridiculous. FU Foudy!
ARG killed me with the goals they didn't convert, but they defended very well. Next match: ARG-MEX. Oh yeah. This should be good. Argentina-Mexico have been becoming something of a more regular rivalry over the past few years--I've been to about three matches here in LA (of which ARG has won all ... mwahahhaa!) so this should be good. Plus, we should have our regular starting 11 back.
US and Italy play tomorrow morning; US has to beat Ghana and hope for a lot of things to happen in order to qualify for the next round, but it should be a good match nonetheless. USA!!
And Forza Azzurri!! Italy and the Czechs will most likely play for the draw but a win would be much nicer for the Italians, especially after the craptacular let down of their play against the US.
