The keyboard on my laptop has gone berserk. I've tried System Restore, uninstalling and reinstalling its drivers, uninstalling my other language settings, contacted Sony Tech Support and NOTHING. The best solution they can give me is to recover the system entirely. I've run a backup, I'm now trying to clean the registry to see if that helps. I don't think defragging the hard drive will do anything since the keyboard is what's gone buggy. The machine works fine otherwise. The keyboard just went kooky after the battery died and *shock* I couldn't get to the plug in time. It straight shut down without hibernating, crashing basically. If anyone's got any ideas, I'm all ears.

Turned the computer on this morning and the keyboard is working normally. O_o I hope this isn't a precursor of Regina going kerplunky like Little Vaio did. I've only had this machine 3 years.
help!,
