Summary: House and Cameron going through parenthood.
White soft kernels of corn closed in her fist. She wasn’t allowed the salty treat, but he always relented watching her carefully. The eye of a doctor and the eye of a smitten father.

House palmed some popcorn from Wilson’s baggy and threw it up into the air. He tilted his head back and caught the wayward kernel and smirked at an annoyed Wilson.
“What?” He asked innocently as they stared at one of the vehicles on display. Wilson looked down at House’s dangling cane and back up at House.
“How’s your leg?”
“How’s are your ex-wives?” He countered and walked towards the next car.
“My ex-wives are not the issue.”
“You never ask about my leg, the same way I never ask about your ex-wives. They both are a constant pain, and we can’t detach ourselves from them.” He grabbed some more popcorn and chewed loudly. The whole afternoon House had felt little to no pain in his leg. The loss of the painful sensation had put him in a lighter mood then normal, and all he could think about was nailing Cameron. She looked adorable in that oversized flannel t-shirt of his and those short denim cutoffs. All he could think about was palming her denim covered bum and crushing those delightfully large globes to his chest, depending on how much her impeding belly would allow.
Now with more use of his leg he could be a halfway respectable father. Maybe teach the little rug-rat how to catch and cradle a lacrosse ball. Gather her up from her crib when she wakes up in the middle of the night after making Cameron do it the last fifteen times.
The thought of having a whole other person dependent on him scared House. He never really had paternal feelings during his life. Even when Stacy had a pregnancy scare, he remembered how she came to him with fresh tears rolling down her cheeks. He gave her a hug and told her that they would just abort if she was actually pregnant.
Cut six years later and he was standing at an auto show with Wilson having a relatively good time, leg pain an after thought, and an extremely hot younger girlfriend who was carrying his child off looking for cribs. The only problem was that she was crib shopping with a ridiculously good looking sensitive doctor who was closer to her age and had complete control over his right leg.
“You never told me where Cameron and Fisher were going?” Wilson asked as he bounced some popcorn in his fist.
“They went looking for a crib.”
“Shouldn’t that be a job that the father of the child engages in with the woman he’s having the child with?” Wilson asked.
“Cameron’s meeting up with her mother and sister for lunch after. Did I dodge a bullet or what?” He quirked with a flick of his eyebrows.
“Apparently not.” Wilson murmured and moved on to the next display. House’s head whipped in the direction of Wilson’s gaze and he spotted Cameron walking towards him with Fisher and her family in tow.
“Great.” He muttered as Cameron moved quickly, probably in fear that he might try and limp away.
“Hey.” She said with a smile. House nodded at her and gave Fisher and her family a quick nod to.
He picked up his cane and swung it lightly. “Find anything?” Cameron shook her head and moved in closer, invading his personal space. Her small fingers curled around his larger pointer, just barely, teasing him with her touch.
“It felt weird doing it without you.” Her voice was barely above a whisper but he heard it, giving her an inquisitive stare to go with her response.
“We’ve never gone crib shopping.” House answered in a loud annoyed voice. He shifted away from her and joined Wilson at the next car.
“All she’s saying Greg is that she’d like you to have some say in what your child sleeps in.” Georgina said in a sharp tone.
“Why? I’m not gonna be sleeping in it.” He grabbed the bag of popcorn from Wilson, ignoring his yelp of protest and stuffed some into his mouth.
“Ugh, that man is impossible.” Georgina said under her breath, shaking her head. Cameron put a comforting hand on her mother’s shoulder and glared back at House.
“Why don’t we go get some water, Mrs. Cameron? It’s pretty warm outside, that’ll help you calm down.” Fisher offered. Georgina nodded and pinched his cheek.
“Such a nice boy. Come on Sarah.” House and Cameron watched them go.
“Do you have to be such a jerk?”
“Hmm, yes.” Cameron rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. Her whole body language the definition of tense. House rolled his eyes and handed Wilson back his popcorn.
“When do you want to do this?”
“Do what?”
“Go look for these cribs. Apparently it’s a two parent job, just like raising a kid. Go figure.”
Cameron gave him a small smile and stood on her tip toes and brushed a kiss across his lips, not caring that he hated being kissed in public. “Thank you.”
House nodded and watched her family return with Sissy in tow.
“I’ll never understand the reason for auto shows.” he began as they approached Cameron and House. “It’s just a bunch of men gathering together to look at cars. You could save yourself the ten dollar admission fee and stand in a parking lot.”
“That’s true, but I’m guessing that there’s a slim chance that a Ferrari is going to be parked next to a classic Royal.” Cameron countered. She met House’s look with a wink.
“Well done.” He announced and grabbed her hand. “It’s been fun Wilson.” House called to his friend. “Georgina. Hot younger version of Cameron.” he gave them a wave and proceeded to drag Cameron out of the show.
“House,” She exclaimed as she twisted her body trying to apologize with her free hand. Cameron slowed down her pace noticing House’s confident walk. “Wow.”
“Just wait till we get home.” He replied with a suggestive wag of his eyebrows.
“No, your leg. This is amazing Greg.” House averted her gaze and began looking for her car,
“Where’d you park?” Cameron sighed. He obviously didn’t want to talk about the subject just yet. He spotted her car and walked around to the driver’s seat. “Get in.” He instructed. Cameron ducked into the passenger seat, shaking her head at her luck having to deal with two children in the upcoming months.
