Panicking quite a lot about this one, because I have to catch a train tomorrow to my Dad's house and I literally do not have the money to get there without my student discount on the train. Can anyone think of anywhere obvious I should look for it that I haven't already checked ( Read more... )

How about under your bed/desk/draws or down the back? This is where things always disappear to in my room. Or maybe in draws it could have fallen off into. Hmm... where else... I lost my ID in between some papers once but that can only really happen if you have huge amounts of paper lying around like I do.

Thanks for the suggestions, you were exactly right, I just got there slightly before you did! I was seeing if had gone underneath my chest of drawers and ended up crawling along under my desk, where of course it had gone down the back, *sigh*. I do lose stuff in paper a lot, I have far too much hanging around for no reason.

Also I meant to comment on your last post, you're going to uni in Aber! Dude! I'm only across the valleys in Cardiff, and my best mate (galacticconman) went to Aber Uni for years, she lives in Cardiff now too. If you need any advice about Aber let me know and I'll poke her for you, she lived there for four years, she knows everything about the place. :D ...That is if I didn't get entirely the wrong end of the stick and you actually live in Aber now, in which case I'll shut up. *sheepish*

No, you got it right :) I'm going to Aber in September and I'm totally looking forward to it (seafront residences *squee*). I've stayed there a few times in hotels but any advice would more than welcome, I'm pretty calm at the moment but it's highly likely that in a few months I'll be majorly panicking *g*

(Oh, and I had a look around Cardiff uni when I applied, it looked quite awesome, and I have a friend in first year there now. Small world, eh? :D)

I swear there only a hundred people in the world and only 50 people on the internet, I'm always bumping into people who know people I know.

...I used to chat loads with lizbee who lived with weaverandom in Australia, and used to chat to bethan-b-bad because they were in milliways-bar together and when I came to Uni in Cardiff I met bethan-b-bad and now we live together... The internet is fucking tiny!

I know what you mean, fandom especially. Whenever I get into a new fandom it always surprises me how many people active in it I know from other fandoms. I suppose I should be used to it by now *g*

That's an awesome story and lucky you, I'd love to live with another fangirl :D
