Anyway, this is me posting a post because I haven't for a few days, and trying not to get distracted by the internet so as I miss my train. The latest I can leave here is 3.30. I can't be late, or I'll miss the train and my evening will be a complete pain in the arse from then on.
A short one, I feel, is therefore necessary...
One of the saddest sights in the world is that of someone riding a tandem bicycle on their own. It's the feeling of loss that resonates from that empty back seat. It's so sad. And yet one of the happiest sights you can see is that of two people merrily cycling along on a tandem, that feeling of completeness and slight absurdity that you get on seeing people on a wheeled contrivance that hasn't been commonplace in over forty years. It's delightful.
That said, it's time to go.
