I cried tears of absolute NONONONONONONONOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO as I watched it. See above icon for my feelings on the subject of
a)making it all American
b)having the wrong people cast
c)making the second book before the first one (but then this is Walden Media, and they clearly think that the beginnings to stories are unimportant - see Chronicles of Narnia)
d) (assumed)probably setting it up for a sequel in the ending, but then not going on to make the others because they haven't started at the beginning anyway, and they have the wrong cast, and the wrong country (Wales is NOT America, and Bran is NOT from texas)
I Hate them, and I'm NOT going to see this film. I love the books too much (aside from the dreadful ending of 'Silver on the Tree', wherein we would gladly give dear Susan Cooper the chance to re-write the part about Bran (spoiler) and let him (spoiler) instead).
