I'm watching Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal and this mother is pissing me off SO BAD. She's (SURPRISE, FUCKING SURPRISE) a Christian, and she doesn't believe in the spirits that her daughter is claiming to see, because SHE believes that there are only angels and demons, and that demons can imitate the dead to deceive people. And she is NOT budging on that. The daughter, who has Native American heritage (I thought the mother did, too, but I'm not sure) says she believes in the Christian ideology, but only about 50%, because she also believes in her Native American ancestors' faith regarding the afterlife and spirits and everything. They asked the mother how she would feel if her daughter's belief system differed from hers, and she said something along the lines of "It would really bother me." DUDE YOUR KID IS HER OWN PERSON, GET THE FUCK OVER IT, YOU MIGHT NOT BE RIGHT ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE BEING A DICK OVER.

OMG SHE KEEPS ROLLING HER EYES AT THE OTHER KID'S DAD. I WANT TO PUNCH HER.

I'm sorry, look, if you're any sort of Christian, I don't mean this to offend you. I dislike all religions equally, but having been raised in the Roman Catholic corner of Christianity and having my entire family unit sharing that faith, I've seen my share of closed-minded crap. You can be a closed-minded asshole about everything in the world but it seems like no one takes it to the extreme more than when it comes to religion.

Dear Girl In This Show, please tell your mother to shove it, because I can't. Love, me.

IN OTHER NEWS. Lifestyle-change blog is going well. Lifestyle-change itself is not. I've had a rough couple days and I've decided to put it on the back burner until the middle of the week or next weekend. (If I start my period in the next couple days it will explain EVERYTHING, tbh.)

Last night wanconpo and I went to the Gay Blades show in Asbury Park. We felt pretty out of place at the venue, because it was primarily a crowd of hipster/rockabilly/I'm-an-art-student types. Nicole said I fit in better because I was wearing plaid lol but we both felt like we should have been holding a bottle of PBR and sporting a beard. I think just ... Asbury and Asbury Park has a big art and music scene, so, naturally, ~hipsters.

Kenny Vasoli (the lead singer of The Starting Line, remember them?) had his current band there, Person L, and I really recommend you check them out. They're very cool and had sweet extra drum action going on.

I'm so glad I've seen the Gay Blades live, now. What a great performance. It would have been even better if I didn't feel like such a tool at shows and loosened up a bit, BUT AT LEAST I'M NOT LIKE THE CRAZY DANCING GUY. And that's all I'll say about that.

I'm thinking of starting a book review blog.

And that's about it.

Hello to my new friends, also, oops? Hi? I have an intro post located here if you're interested. I'm not usually this much of a bitchy bum, I promise. BLEHHHHHH.
