I didn't sleep the whole night :D
Why, you ask? Hahah I was itching to make something so I used the leftover cloth from my highschool sewing project to make something :D This is my first time making it!
The cloth was too cute to be wasted, so I decided to experiment! I used the cover of an old Danchoo notebook as the base, and sewed with white thread.
I don't have a sewing machine, and I don't know how to use one... So hand sewing for me! It's tough D: My fingers are not nimble enough! That, and I can barely sew a straight line, much less anything else. ^^
Close-up. It looks helluva mess inside but at least it's strong :D That's what I hope, at least... ;_;
rukapyon taught me this way of stitching (e.g. pulling it over the two pieces of fabric, instead of in-out-in-out in a straight line).
Here comes the other side...
It's hard to sew when it's inside-out D:
じゃ~あん! My 1st ever 100% handmade kinchaku pouch!! Didn't have any pretty strings on hand so I used white satin hair ribbon ^^ I've made it a little short, but since this was a first try, I'm already satisfied! *o* I'm glad I experimented; now I finally know how to make a kinchaku with a base! (I've previously made a flat one with chirimen fabric as part of
forlorn_slayer's birthday present.)
Here's how it looks like untied.
And how it looks like on the inside. If you're wondering about that cute little bear, it's actually a bookmark :D A present from my godfather that he bought from Denmark.
What do you think? =^_^=
PS:// Just for kicks:
The pouch I made with Japanese chirimen fabric ^^ The material is expensive but really really wonderful *o* Crinkled and rough to the touch too! <3 I shall save money to buy more chirimen fabric so I can make more (useless) stuff! >w< OU YEAH!
