Roxanne is an empath who can create connections between both people and objects.
With OBJECTS, she pick up important feelings on last use, if the object is signficant to a person (though not who, though she may get emotional images surrounding the object/person), and other information - this is only from use within the last two hours, UNLESS it is a important/regularly used/ritual item that has a great deal of emotional energy invested in it.
With PEOPLE, she can read emotions and intent. Surface emotions are of course easier to read, but given time and experience (and her own perceptive wit behind it) she can discern deeper or hidden feelings.
If she can accomplish this empathic link, she can also 'borrow' powers from the person who she senses; she will be influenced by their personality, however, on a subtle (and sometimes not too subtle) level.
