and I'm not sure I'm ready for it. Nascar season that is. I could use a few more weeks, I was not one of the ones counting down to the season that's for sure. Here is my take on today so far.
The Good: A one two finish for DEI, especially since Mikey was one...The fact that there has been very little hoopla over Kurt being the reigning champion(much less than when Matt or Tony won)...Steve qualified well for the race tomorrow and is looking mighty fine these days, I might add...Kenny making the 500 and doing it driving for Mikey...Kudos to Nascar for threatening to bench not only Harvick but Johnson for today's events...
The Bad: Kerry not making the 500 by a foot, although kudos for the pole in the truck race...the worrisome trouble some of the top drivers seem to be having with their cars.
The Ugly: Kevin LePage, may he flip down the back stretch on Sunday like Mikey did last season...The first race hasn't even happened and I'm already listening to Jimmie Johnson whine like a baby...
And the worst by Far: To Robby G, I wanted to cry listening to him on the scanner when he didn't make it into the 500. I thought for sure he'd make it in and it's heartbreaking to know he won't be there Sunday.
I am fed up to beyond here with professional athletes. Go get a real job, live paycheck to paycheck, trying to pay bills and still have money for things like gas and food. Then and only then do you have the right to moan and groan about how bad your day was. Because even finishing in last place Sunday will make almost twice what I make in a year.
Get the feeling I've had enough of this bullshit from the hockey end. Not sure what lies ahead for me and my job. 12 more people were 'let go' yesterday when the season officially cancelled. I'm looking at possibly a third job just to make up what I'm losing and to get my bills paid.
