Anyone who loves America would be proud to see that:
Senior Jesse Meyer (Omaha, Neb./ Bellevue West) scored 14 points in the game's final 11 minutes -- including the go-ahead free throw at the 1:32 mark -- as the University of Chicago men's basketball team edged Wheaton (Ill.) College 81-77 Wednesday night at the Ratner Athletics Center.
That's right. Wheaton college, home of Billy Graham and aka the school that doesn't admit Catholics as students or faculty, just got their asswhooped by my fellow students. what's up now Gerry Falwell? You got nothing. Nothing. Because you don't teach evolution, and automatically exclude 25% of Americans (Roman Catholics) from you school, you basically have no reason to exist were it not for sports. And I'll admit that you're good--women are natl. champs in soccer and men were runners up--but you're basically Duke mixed w/ the Taliban and that can only last so long. And by so long I mean tonight. What's up now, Wheaton. Your people got their asses kicked in the last election and about a month later you couldn't even overcome a bunch of (God bless them) Econ majors on the hardwood. 5 on 5. Just like Dr. Naismith wanted it. Sorry. Good luck in your future lives.
BTW, Wheaton. Apparently, throughout the game some of my fellow students were chanting "abstinence" and "LONG LIVE SATAN" throughout the game. The truth is, I had a part in that and I will take that pride to my grave. Fuck Wheaton. God bless America.
