Well Apple's Completely Screwed Up...
Okay, so here's the deal-
Over the weekend Apple put out a general OS update that put us at 10.4.9. It sounds great, right? It fixed stuff for iCal, it updated iSync, & other things that I will never understand. It also made it so none of my browsers show javascript applets (i.e. the script that lets you post on lj through the site.)
I'm also hearing it's fouling up Mail & Entourage for those who use rules to sort. Then here's the coup de grâce, there are a number of macs that can't start up all the way, most get stuck on a grey screen, some do weird things then act normal when you try to start them up again, then the next time they'll do the weird thing again.
I've been to the Apple fourms, submitted complaints there & formally, and hope that there's a fix soon. B/c this totally isn't helping me at all. I'm just worried b/c there were and maybe still are threads of discussion getting erased by the maintainers when they have to do with problems stemming from the update.
