no one ever knew of the what-could-happen-when-you're-not-so-lucky-even-when-only-making-cupcakes

you know how i say how NTUC a.k.a. Fair Price is horrid?
ok. i probably haven't ever said that.
and i'm not saying it now either.
i'm just saying, look at the photo below.


that is something you can find in the NTUC at 888, Woodlands.
gross.
mouldy egyptian strawberries.
egyptian strawberries are either mutated or mouldy there.
or both..

so, i was looking for strawberries and whipped cream for my cupcake
and i found egyptian strawberries and no whipped cream.
the other alternative were these $9.90 per punnet, Korean strawberries,
and to make icing to make do for the loss of precious whipped cream

anyway, i went back home, made the cupcakes,
then realised that my icing sugar had turned rock hard (a.k.a. cannot be made into icing)
so i used what remaining castor sugar i had and made it into not-so-nice-and-smooth-icing
which had this rather special texture i must say, and it was good.

so im kinda, heroic or something
i passed the horrible trials!
and suceeded
