3. Character Information II
Age/Appearance: Looking around his 30's or 40's, he looks like what would happen if you put Viggo Mortensen and Robert Carlyle together, meaning he is a tall and ruggedly handsome man with fluffy hair and green eyes. He wears the red and gold armor of the Brotherhood of Light, as well as wearing pointy metal boots and a gauntlet on his left arm.
History: http://castlevania.wikia.com/wiki/Gabriel_Belmont and http://castlevania.wikia.com/wiki/Castlevania:_Lords_of_Shadow#Story
Gabriel's being taken right after his fight with Satan and right before the post-credits ending of wtf.
Personality: Gabriel comes off as intimidating, due to his serious nature and the fact he towers over everybody while also not talking much, but he's not trying to scare people. In fact, during the rare moments when he speaks, he's soft spoken and polite to those around him unless they're monsters trying to kill him, but even then he's not exactly rude to them, only being a bit more blunt and more likely to show rage towards them. Surprisingly, even when speaking to the Lords of Shadow, he never raises his voice at them, instead just changing his tone from his neutral calm to his rage. With his wife, he is an even kinder man than what he shows, smiling and showing happier emotions than he usually would.

There is a dark side of Gabriel though. He's prone to brooding and can have a quick temper when the circumstances are right. When on his revenge quest, he was blind to the suffering of some of those around him, like the Crow Witch Malphas he met in her tower, but there are of course other times where he's very much a hero, fighting to protect people even to the detriment of himself, willingly walking into a trap to save a village. He knows of the darkness within him though and does his best to keep it in check now that his revenge quest is over.

Despite Gabriel's protests otherwise, he does enjoy killing (possibly only due to the fact he's the main character of a hack and slash game) somewhat, although he is at first unwilling to fight Pan when he's forced to and outright denies to kill Claudia to get her Black Knight's gauntlet. Claudia's death and the fear of killing again his sleep makes him afraid to fall asleep and makes him doubt himself, but this has lessened since the person who was behind that is now gone. Thanks to his wife's death, he no longer has a reason to live outside of getting revenge and trying to bring her to life, but at this point it has turned into a way to atone for his sins and see Marie again in Heaven.

Because of his upbringing, Gabriel is a very religious man. Even when faced with the fact that his soul was damned, he still believed that God would forgive him for the murders of Marie and Claudia. On the opposite side of this, Gabriel at one point believes God has abandoned humanity when the souls of the dead are stuck on Earth, but once he's found out the truth behind it, he seems to not think badly of Him and continues to be loyal to his god.
Sexual Preferences/Orientation: Due to both his time period and how he was raised, Gabriel is heterosexual and because of the death of his wife, not sexually active.
Powers: Without his relics, Gabriel's a normal human being. He's been trained to fight all of his life and is very good with his Combat Cross, which can be used as a whip, stake, and grappling hook. Too keep him from being too powerful or to push him in a certain direction, Gabriel's not bringing his ability to use Shadow Magic and Light Magic.

For relics, Gabriel has in his possession the Dark Gauntlet, Cyclone Boots, and Seraph Shoulders. The Dark Gauntlet strengthens his left arm to destroy stone and brick with one punch, but can also be used by a strong sorcerer to control Gabriel or even kill him. The Cyclone Boots allow him to moves faster than normal for short distances and the Seraph Shoulders allow him to jump further with the assistance of large white wings.

Also, for a reason unknown at this time, Gabriel is unable to die.
Reason for playing: I'm taking him from a point where he's lost his will to live, but at the same time unable to die. He doesn't know about this yet, so I'd like to play with this contradiction in game and see if he'll go down the same path as he does in the epilogue or if the city will make his life not suck and give him a better future.
