You're breaking my heart here. Aw, Spike. *sniffles for him* All this and it still comes down to the soul, and even once he's "proved" himself no one trusts him. And of course Angel can't deal with him actually wanting it back! Angel never had to deal with him getting it in the first place.

Part of me really wants him to not get his soul back, and instead go on a long personal journey of figuring out how to live without it. But methinks it'd be difficult to fit all that into the last chapter.

Am loving this premise.

Oh I am a fan of soulless redemption fic, but I don't think I have the room for that here. Alas! Some other time.

Angel never had to deal with him getting it in the first place. Exactly!! I wanted to show a bit of Angel having to wrap his head around this. :)

Well, I wouldn't call most of Spike's schemes all that successful - but they do have a slightly higher body count. *g*

And I'm still amused that we both stole Spike's soul for this. :-)

Ah! Poor Spike! I feel so bad for him. Here he is trying to do the right thing and no one trusts him anymore.

I also feel bad for Gunn as well. He feels like he lost a friend and doesn't know what to do.

Yeah, poor Spikey is dealing with a bunch of people whose previous experience with de-soulled vampires is, well, Angelus. :P

And I totally understand where the MOG are coming from too. Things didn't go well (to say the least!) when with their prior experience with vimpire un-souling. Er, you know what I mean!
