riding lesson..

Supposevly, 90 degrees in humid air under the blazing sun in a dusty ring with no shade is quiet desired for a riding lesson according to Mum... I was sweating before I even tacked up.

But despite being half dead, it was a good lesson. Jenna figured out that Remi is really weak on the left side so when I go to the left she rides me up into the fence rails. so well first we had to get the creaks out of my old nag so I cantered her around about 20 billion times before I trotted again and my mum said her trot was much nicer... Jenna called her a pogo stick before... heh... thats funny. But I also have to sit long in the saddle when I post... but yeah..

I know this must be just too exciting for all you non horse people, but I am writing this down for my reference in the future.

so after that we worked on moving laterally, or off my leg. Remi didn't know how to do it... which explained a lot, because whenever I asked her to she would move forward or backwards with it. She did it once or twice, so we're getting there. But also at the canter I would move her off the track and back on, and also I would come off the track and make my own...

-sigh- tis all for now...

off to ride Missouri Fox Trotters somewhere...
