How depressing is Oliver Twist? I've never read Dickens aside from "A Christmas Carol", and this is really somber. I am enjoying it so far, but for a topic that I've been assigned I have to find the connection between Dicken's relationship with his wife in the novel. I think I will enjoy this literature course, even if it is going to kick my non-Russian ass.
My other classes are going quite well, the assignments are interesting and challenging, and I think I will learn a lot.
