England Fun
Well, I'm back again! England was very nice. Of course, it's hard for England to not be very nice. Very hard.
We stayed in Folkestone, in a rather stinky apartment. The hallway was stinky. And the toilet was too. But for the rest it was a nice apartment with the most comfortable chairs and a lovely view of the Channel. On clear days we could see the coast of France (bit of a waste of the view, that was xD).
So, first day after we arrived we did... absolutely nothing xD We went in search for the train station tho, as we were planning to go to London the next day (for John of course!) and we didn't want to drive into the centre of London. Turns it out there hardly go any trains back to Folkestone after ten, so we actually had to go with the car. But we then decided to go as far as possible into London and then take a train or the Underground to the centre.
Next morning, on the news, we heard that the Underground people were on a strike. DAAAAARRRRN!!! Bloody only day we're in London and those people go on a strike. Anyways, that meant my mum had to drive slapbang in the middle of London. Which was awesome. We were like, going through all the suburbs which got boring because it was very busy. And then all of a freaking sudden, we were driving across Parliament Square! That was awesome!!! So we dumped the car somewhere in Knightsbridge, just round the corner from Harrod's. Which we visited, of course. Then we walked from Hyde Park to Trafalgar Square and back. Wished the Underground was just doing their normal service, though, because we wanted to go to Covent Garden and stuffz. Oh well. More luck next time.
THEN it was time for us to head towards the Royal Albert Hall. To see John Barrowman. Oh. My. God! That was so incredibly, awesomely, wonderfully, brilliantly BRILLIANT! Deary me, I do love John! He made his J4 dancers dress up. A lot.
[Spoilers for the DVD xD] He sang Viva Las Vegas, which meant the girls walked out in those Vegas clothes. Then he dedicated a song to his comic heroes (cue Spidermen and WonderWomen), they had to act out Copacabana and a dedication to men in drag. Cue hot dancers in tiny dresses. Which John tore off at the end of the song, of course. Rawr. I was sitting at quite a distance but I could see their hot bodies. Poooooooo. Of COURSE he sang The Doctor and I, cue the entire Albert Hall screaming when David was on the screen (during the song you saw this film with different Doctor and Jack bits). Weeeee. And then he sang a song about Jack's feelings for Gwen. Awwwwwwwww. John is as big a fanboy of Torchwood as all the fans are xD Oh and he broke a doll-thing wearing a Zsa Zsa dress. Gna. And he made his parents dance on stage, which was very sweet and made John cry. And then they started making sex jokes which made John go "I don't wanna go there!" To which his dad said: "I haven't been there in a while either." Whahahaha. So we really know where he gets it all fro, xD Okay, I'll stop talking about the show now. Oh, and Jodie Prenger was his special guest. Very awesome! I love her. She was like "I'm gonna drop something, perhaps you'll hear it. Next year when my ALBUM comes out, whoops, did you hear THAT drop?!" xD I love her! Haaaaa...[/Spoiler-stuff]
I did scream a couple of times when no one else was, though. So maybe you can hear me on the DVD. Whoooo, how awesome would that be xD OH! And apparently, so Rowan has informed me, David was there too. OH YEAAAAH!!! I just kneeew he was there! I was in the same room with David AND John! WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! *fangirl* *FANGIRL* First thing I did when I got on the computer tonight was order the DVD xD
Okaaay, soo, the rest of the week was fun too. Went to Canterbury, lovely city. Bought the most awesome necklace there. And went to this castle, which we didn't enter because the tickets were damned expensive so we just walked in the park. Which was lovely, but small. So we walked through the park again xD
I bought a Radio Times just because it had David Tennant on the cover. As you do.
And I did a LOT of reading. So all very relaxing and stuffz. Aaaaand... now I don't really know what else to write about. So I'll just stop.
Work again tomorrow. Blaaaah, why on earth did I not ask the extra day off? Me and my love for money xD And after that partaaaay at Rowan's! Yaaaay!
So I'll just go and take a nice hot shower (the shower didn't stay warm in the apartment... that sucked) and then off to bed! Buh-bye all!
