I'm currently working on the first assignment for the OTT course (Online Thesis Training). Am still reading all the stuff about researching and planning and shizzle like that.
However, why on earth do we have to do this course as part of the Masters thing? It's to introduce us to and help us with writing a successful thesis. But if we weren't capable of writing a proper thesis, we'd never be doing this course now, because.. well, didn't everyone write a thesis for their Bachelor degree? Conclusion: OTT is a paradox! xD
Okay, I know the answer to that last question is no, because some students are foreign and maybe they never had to write a thesis or even an essay. That's true. So it's understandable that Uni wants to help these people in being able to write a good thesis and succesfully finish their Master. But for the rest of us, who know all about MLA and researching and are unfortunately very familliar with the words "This fulltext is not available blablabla", this course really is a waste of time.
So now I have to read stuff about MLA and APA, fill in some exercises about that and come up with some titles and a description for a thesis I'm not going to write for another six months at least! Heck, I don't know yet what I'm gonna write my thesis about, I'm more worried about the essays I have to write this semester.
Blegh.
Anyway the deadline is next Friday, but I'm in England at that time (yay), so I'm going to have to finish it this week. Bwuh! So let's just continue with that and make Smakman believe I've put in 15 to 35 hours in this assignment. As if xD
