I voted! Got the sticker and everything
I vote yesterday for the first time. It was the NC primaries. I did some research too, visited their websites, saw where they stood on issues, and picked the one that I thought was best suited. On the way, I found a very interesting website: www.senatorjohn.com. As weird/strange as he seems, I didn't vote for him. I didn't agree with some of his stuff and he didn't seem very professional. But I enjoyed browsing his website nonetheless.
I have so enjoyed this summer! Fortunately, it's not speeding by like a mofo. It's going slowly and I am intensely enjoying it. I'm excited about starting school again too though.
I'm going to be an RTA! For those of you who don't go to Meredith, that's "Resident Technical Assistant". People come to me with their computer problems. I'm on call 12 hours a week. In return I get $2500 a year and my own room! Score! And it's a private room, it's not a suite. So I get the bathroom to myself, but no suitemates. :( I just hope I don't get too lonely.
I'm also unofficially a member of the Honors Program! Yay! I've wanted to be in it since I heard about it. I talked to the director and she said she would do whatever official stuff she had to do to make me part of the Honors Program. Yay! So I get to go on the honors trips, use the lounge, all that good stuff. And of course, take the honors classes. yay! How exciting!
In addition to all this good stuff, I'm taking 17 credit hours, working about 10 hours a week, treasurer of Alpha Lambda Delta, and a member of the Review Board. AND I wanna be in Laura's Othello. I have no idea where I'll get the time though. :( Anyway, so if Athena finds me twitching on the ground, you'll all know why.
