Booth followed Brennan around the Hotel to the 'Banquet Hall,' as the inscription on the door said. A little too fancy for Booth's taste...but it didn't bothered him because that wasn't his primary concern right now after all.

He settled himself in the other side of the table and took a deep breath, "Apple, Bones. Definitely apple." He said, with a grin on his face. "Do you really think this guys did it for me? Maybe it's the house's specialty," Booth said trying to find another explanation to what Brennan suggested. The place looked huge and it had countless numbers of tables in it. Only one more was occupied, though.

He felt a tiny sound coming from his belly, which he thought it was due to not ingesting anything since the previous night when he stopped at that solitaire gas station to refuel. "Oooh my stomach's growling, where's the waitress?"

She watched Booth sit across from her and still had this feeling of amazement that he was actually here. He had actually found her in this middle-of-nowhere place.

She smiled as he identified the pie. "You know I don't like to make assumptions without hard facts, but I have to say that after a couple months in this place, I am almost ready to believe anything." Taking a glance around them for a second she focused back on Booth, leaning in a bit and lowering her voice. "This place is weird Booth. I don't believe in supernatural phenomena so I know there is an explanation somewhere, but it scares me that whoever is pulling the strings here must be smarter than I am."

As she leaned back in her chair she noticed a pretty waitress in an old-fashioned server's uniform approaching their table. She already had two whole pies and coffee on a tray with the proper dishes and utensils.

"See?" she said to Booth as she pointed out the waitress who was now beginning to lay their dessert out before them.

"Aw, Bones there's...there's no one else in the world smarter than you. Not even Brain could be smarter than you." He tried to sound as convincing as he could, and he meant it. He was certain that there wasn't a single person in the world more intelligent than her.

She gestured to the waitress, who was already at their table with two big portions of the apple pie he smelled and coffee. "No," Booth moved his hand over Brennan's plate. "She doesn't like pie." But the waitress didn't even looked at Booth, finished her job and went back through where she came from. After following her with his gaze and watching as she dissappeared behind the kitchen doors he turned back to Brennan and gave her a little smile.

Booth grabbed his fork and took a piece of the pie. "So...how was Perú?" He said and placed the fork in his mouth.

She cracked a small smile when Booth tried to reassure her about her status on the genius-chain, however, she knew better. "I think that is very nice of you to say Booth, but, as much as I hate to admit it, there are a LOT of people in the world that are a LOT smarter than I am. There are also a lot of people of similar intelligence that know more about other things than I do. Like artistic or musical genius. Or computer geniuses." She surveyed the dining room again and sighed. "If we truly are stuck in this place, than it would have to be some kind of a genius who thought it up ( ... )
