Xander was, at this point, working through his daily exercise routine. It'd been something he'd been doing for months (or what could be guessed to be months really), but he found it to be even more helpful as of late. Exercising was something Xander could do to clear his mind, and not have to think. Thinking was still not good at points, but he was working through it.
Part of his new routine included doing some laps in the pool, and that was the plan as he entered the pool room. Of course, he hadn't expected to see someone in there, and he blinked his surprise away. "Oh.. hi. Don't mind me.." He said, walking over to one of the poolside chairs and setting his towel down.
Pam knew the moment someone else entered the room, her predatory instincts still sharp. Knowing he wouldn't be able to see her eyes, she tracked his progress through the room as he deposited his belongings on a nearby chair.
Lifting her sunglasses just enough that she could see him unobstructed she replied, "I won't Xander Harris."
Xander had been getting ready to take off his shirt, but paused mid-strip because he suddenly found himself at a loss. Apparently the blonde.. who was.. in very little (now that he gave her a look) knew who he was. "..Have we met? This place does some wonky things with memories and time, because I don't remember you.."
At this point, Xander wouldn't be surprised at all really, the hotel did like screwing with people. This wouldn't be anything new.
"No we haven't," Pam said smoothly hitting pause on her iPod, the 1960's French Pop music coming through the earbuds halting mid verse. "If we had met, you would remember me."
Xander was in no mood to argue with the woman about how it was entirely possible, so he let it go. Instead, he raised his eyebrow and gave her an inquisitive glance.
"Well, if we haven't met, then how do you know me?" He asked, waiting to hear this one.
After a momentary internal debate on whether to tell him or let him stew, she finally just let her sunglasses drop into position and tapped on the bottom left side of the frame.
"We have a mutual acquaintance," she answered, and that there was only one man with an eye patch in the hotel, going unspoken.
Pam made a noise of agreement but it was ambiguous as to whether she was reciprocating the sentiment or agreeing that yes, it was nice to meet her.
"Yes, I was aware, but thanks for the reminder," she said dryly. "And you are Dawn's sister's friend from Sunnydale California. But you are currently on the outs with said sister and her Vampire boyfriend but you've never liked him so that isn't much of a change. But then again you've never really liked Vampires, and yet you were dating a demon." Dawn never shut up, and Pam locked everything away in vault whether she cared or not. "Just in case you forgot who you are."
Xander blinked at Pam's reply. That was unexpected, but Dawn did like to talk.. a lot. "Alright then, looks like Dawn hasn't lost her sense of talking about everything.."
Yeah, he wasn't about his drama being out and about, but apparently, it was.
"She gets better as she gets older..." He said offhandedly. Not that he was entirely sure that Pam was aware of the whole time being wonky in the hotel thing, but it was a safe bet. For one, Dawn didn't know when to shut up, and two, she sounded like she'd been around for a while. Or at least as long as Dawn had mentioned her.
"If current situations continue on their present course, I'll eventually be able to make that assessment for myself," Pam said with a sort of half frown, before she remembered that she could get wrinkles now, and smoothed out her expression.
