A Different Kind of Search
Who: Billy Buddy, Gil Grissom and anyone else who wants to join
Where: Third floor hallway initially.
When: After this thread where Gil meets Handy, and Handy runs off
What: Billy goes searching for his ray before Handy gets it.
The Jack fellow had been rather adamant that he find his ray before the crazy hand man did, but Billy was less concerned with the man's safety than he was with the confidentiality of his project. It wasn't something he was wiling to let the people of the hotel know- however many of them were out there- and he wanted to keep it under wraps.
Also, the Jack guy seemed to be a bit pissed off, but he was terrible with reading the tone of emails, so he may have gotten that completely wrong. Either way, the day was shaping up to be a bit of the old crazy he was used to. With the additional fright of one of his inventions out there that hadn't been tested yet. And with the hotel apparently switching rooms on him- he wasn't looking forward to the search.
But he'd try any doors he could. It was a start at least. There was one across the hall from him that was ajar so he knocked on it before pushing it open gently.
