Donna was sitting on her bed tucked up under the sheets flicking through the pages of the lastest Heat magazine, eating her apple. She decided it was time to diet so apple it was for breakfast.
She bit into her apple trying not to bring attention to herself. The silence in the room was getting the the really really awkward stage. So she spoke. "You got anything planned for today then?" She asked
Turlough looked up from his book. "Reading," he replied. "I might go for a wander later," he added, not sounding terribly pushed. He'd gotten to the part where Jeeves used the old 'Bertie's a bit off' gambit, which was always amusing. Reminded him of the Doctor, really. Bertie, that is.
"Right" she simply replied with. She was getting really bored. Donna pushed back her sheets and got up.
She walked over to her bag and searched for the only thing that would entertain her. Her nail varnish. Taking whatever colour she found she walked back to her bed and started paiting her toe nails, slowly and carefully. "So what did you get up to last night then?" She asked, concentrating fully on her activity.
Turlough pulled his eyes up from the book again. Apparently, Donna wanted to chat. "Met a woman by the name of Veronica Mars. New to our little... home away from home," he decided on that name with a distinctly wry tone to his voice. "She has her dog with her, 'Backup'. It was all perfectly innocent," he felt the need to add. He was trying, though, he could well have said something along the lines of: 'Why? Do I need an alibi?'
"And what were you doing?" he asked in return, his tone just this side of cheeky.
