Room Check
Who: Handy and Jack
Where: The hallway of the second floor, and any rooms that appear to lack residents.
When: Shortly after the 'Head Count' network thread.
What: Checking for missing residents.
Handy was uneasy. At first he'd put down the other Doctor's failure to respond to his message about Donna to him refusing to discuss it, but after reading that both Jason and Kurt had gone missing and might not be the only ones, he was beginning to worry. He hadn't been to the other Doctor's room yet, not quite willing to face that alone, but when he'd gone to do a cursory check of his own floor there had been signs that Dean was right and that there were other residents gone. He hadn't realized it before, but when he'd checked his list, he'd noticed that 202--Gwen's new room--had been Melchior's room. He hadn't heard anything about Melchior moving to another room. He hadn't heard anything from Melchior recently. What had really struck him, though, was that the webcam was missing from above Topher's door. He'd knocked, hoping that maybe the tech had malfunctioned and Topher had just brought it in to fix it, but deep down, he knew better.
After asking Jack to come up, he waited impatiently by his own door, within sight of both the stairs and the lifts. At least Gwen was still there. He'd been with her when Dean had posted his network message, and he refused to contemplate the possibility that she'd disappeared since then.
