My account was deleted and I needed a certain amount of posts to establish myself ... this is what happened.
I first watched a JDrama at a con in Northern Phoenix, which was very weird at first. It was GTO the live action. I thought it was interesting, but I really did not like it all that much.
Then I went on the magical internet, searched for Japanese Dramas, and found the awesome Silent Regrets, and then it just spawned from there. Now I watch KDramas, TWDramas, and HKDramas. I watch the movies as well! Some of my favs are:
Buso no Hitomi Ni Koishiteru, Summer x Summer, Herb the movie, Deru Toko Demasho the special, Yo-Yo Girl Cop Movie, 14 Sai No haha, Hana Kimi (Taiwan and Japan versions), Fly Daddy Fly the movie, and My Boss My Hero to name a few.
I mainly like JDramas because they have different view then American shows. It is not all about superficiality all the time. They present the classic themes but in fresh ways and strange ways that are probably normal to the people that live there. I really dislike all the reality shows on every single channel in US. Moreover, the main plotlines … actually follow a plotline in a short precise way (no sequels) and the ending is usually satisfactory.
I am a newbie again so figured I would exaggerate a little, to present myself in an exposition.
I am going to have to go with Hana Kimi! I have been a fan of that one for a long while; own the mangas, except for the last few. I have not bought them yet, due to college. All my money is sucked up by college. However, I absolutely adore Absolute Boyfriend, it is all smutty and what not, lol.
The Wallflower
Manga vs. Anime, well I have to go with the manga. I actually know more of the manga than the anime. I did make an AMV of the anime, the anime is funny and the art is retained. I just need to hop to it and complete the series all together, lol. I have not finished either; due to the fact, my account was deleted. Ha.
Earl and Fairy! I was watching this on Crunchy Roll until it was removed. Got to episode seven and I liked it so far. I totally agree with it not being cliché, cuz it is not … it just is not. Well maybe in the fact that the good girl falls for the bad guy. However, I do not want to say that too soon, since I have not finished the anime.
I like it, it is nice new and fresh, it is on the scene for real dawg. JK! But no. really, liking the change. The small little brownies brought out the little girl in me again; lol (does that sound creepy?) They are so cute. The big fairies are eye candy too.
Cannot wait until I finish it!
I only purchased four books last semester, and the total cost was $368! Just four Books! I sold them back and only got around $50. This semester … I’m sure will be more expensive, since I have five classes and one of them I’ll have an extra fee for since it’s an art class.
Whew! That complaining really made me feel better … not. Oh well. (Brainwashes self) “Education is good for the mind. Education is good for the mind. Education is good for the mind….”
If I were you, I would write a story or something, lol. Do something productive that you enjoy. Play video games, walk the crazy dogs, go to some parties or concerts, hang out, watch movies…
There are tons of things to do! On the other hand, you can master the art of being lazy. I know I am! Lol. What to do: sleep for long amounts of times, eat healthy (no junk food! Or else you will feel sick, cuz this is lazy to the extreme!), barely move around unless it is completely necessary (i.e. shower, bathroom, water and feed animals, yourself), and play video games all day or roam around online.
Trust me your days will melt away! And once you are at school again, you will be like “WTF?! What happened to my break?”
Rain definitely, snow is hard to clean up and shovel. It is also very cold. You can dance in the rain, but then again you can also dance in snow, but you may fall in it. However, you cans slip in rain. Uh … yeah.
Listening to rap music all day or having someone scream in your face for an hour?

I tried to make each first word synonyms, but that was just too hard for me.

Twilight v Harry Potter
Voice: Twilight has your average teenage girl who thinks she is strange but is actually marvelously normal, voice thing going on. Harry Potter is told through a third person POV that is detached, thus helping pretty much everyone relate to the book in some way or form.
Setting: HP is somewhere in the nineties (later) if you really look in depth with it. However, it is modern, but crossed with history (wizard history made up history, but simple and relatable to the real). Twilight does a good job of not mentioning too much of the time, but it is painfully obvious that it is in the now (as in when book was published). Then again, maybe that was not Meyer’s intention at all. The actual settings are both thoroughly explained, but I can imagine Rowling’s better than Meyer’s probably due to all the details and that everything was strange in Potter’s new world. In Meyers, everything is normal! Except for the vampires.
Themes: HP has so many themes it is hard to come up with the most important one. Each book has a key element that is very enlightening. Twilight has themes copied from most Shakespearian tragedy stories, but with a happy family in the end, which is nice mind you. Life beyond Death, or being too afraid to face the unknown and choose the easier path. Maybe that could be the theme. (I do like this theme, if it is one, since I am a coward myself).
Character: Both stories have amazing characters. The unusual prize goes to Rowling and the cool kidz prize goes to Meyer.
Plot: Have to love the vampire one more; Meyer has me pinned at this. Nevertheless, Rowling does have the new magical world and children’s dreams that turn into a nightmare, but is still kind of cool thing going on. (Hey I like that magical world friend), but it still does kind of suck just like the real world.
The rest is left for actual editors to depict, lol.
Harry Potter it is for me, sorry. Twilight is just too mucky, too classical, too much like Romeo and Juliet, with a twist! They both die still but they come back to life as zombies to eat our brains! (I know they do this at way different times, do not slaughter me!)
However, in all honesty, I did like Twilight, just not the rest of the series. I absolutely love Vampires, just the subject of them, but this book made me think of them as fluffy and not at all scary anymore (WTH am I blabbering about?).
I dunno, it’s just that I grew up with the Harry Potter series since I was like eleven or was it twelve … IDK. It has everything a good story should have (I mean all the extremely long books put together). It was wonderful, this series was the only book I ever read, that made me sob like a baby (Dumbledore is my favorite character, second is Luna). Moreover, when Harry (kind of) died, I stopped reading like an idiot, sniveled, and wailed for maybe 10 minutes: “Why did he have to die?”… “What did he ever do?” ... "I can’t believe she killed him!"
It was brilliant, and I still loathe Rowling until this day for it. Let me just say I was too involved with this story. I never was that caught up with the Twilight series. However, I am not necessarily saying that it sucks, its petty ok, if you like the fluffy romance part of it.
@ Li the Twilight Knight: I totally agree with the anti-climatic part! I wanted some Volturi death! Maybe the next one … is there going to be a next one?
And, that makes me angry indeed
That anyone can take someone’s
Life with just the pull of a trigger
Or the quick stab with a knife
It pains me to think he died
For someone’s imprudent wrongdoing
Illegal activities, that shouldn’t really be so illegal
It is only common sense
To not be under the influence while driving
Does Romance really have to be in a story?
I voted no for the main part … but maybe there can be some in a subplot.
I mean is there anyone you know in your life that has a relationship going on. Does it pertain to you at all; do they tell you their problems with said relationship? You know minor things like that may work a way into a story.
However, if you mean, does the main character have to be in love? Not really. Does every great book or book that you like have a main character that falls in love with someone at some point in time. For me that would be a no.
So no, romance really does not have to be in a story in my opinion.
P.S. If you are going for a certain age group that pertains to teenage fan girls, then yes there must be romance in the book somewhere. In addition, the main character must be dashing, lol. (Not entirely true but that’s my opinion)
@Mojo Kitty O_o I like your avi.
It don't snow where I live, I live in the desert. But if you go half hour’s drive north, it snows there. I happen to think that's weird.
That's creepy when you say you've spotted ppl. At first I was like wtf? and then I was like ooooh ok.
Bunnies are cute
AH! I miss that show!
It was creepy because... I dunno for some apparent reason I thought I could read everyone’s stuff without being spotted.
Do not want people to think I'm a stalker or anything.
@Becky: So many ppl are online because ... their profiles were deleted?
I've seen stuff being posted on that was a morgue before. I have done the same! As you can see by my member number that used to be 600 something ... I am now in the 80,000’s! Not even the original 1,000. I know… I’m such a dork.
I challenge you to a game of wii!
Edit: that was meant to be in another post, sorry.
Hey that's doesn’t make since!
Yay I'm not a dork!
@thezombieking: Yeah it certainly is. Leaving to come back laterz tomorrow when it isn’t 1:30AM in the morning!
Fat Chance--(chapters: none)
lol! It actually makes sense to me, cuz I was organizing my stories folder.
Yusaku02 is a lemon that has no lemon juice so life holds them back.
I came back ... and now gone again.
ppl who narrate their lives to the point of insanity or silly.
@yusaku: I’m saying I'm silly
And I was supposed to leave! So much for writing your own future plej.
I specifically like the first, third, and last art pieces the most. They are done with a uniqueness that embraces good quality. The eyes on the colored one are intense and sparkly. And ... OH. MY. GOD. Kitties! I love love love the kitties. And the grayscale is dandy. Sorry it’s late at night for me. My madness begins to kick in.
