Yeah, I haven't updated like, at all lately. That's because I've been Sir. Pukesalot and I'm having a hard time just getting through normal stuff. I am 13 weeks tomorrow, so you'd think this'd be getting better, but bizarrely I think it's getting worse. Fortunately, the doc hooked me up with some Zofran when I went to my 12 week appointment last week, so at least I have some respite.
Girls were evaluated by the speech therapist at the elementary school last week, and we've got the IEP on the 23rd. (Lady wanted to schedule it at 8:30AM. I told her, I promise you I will call you up and say I'm too sick to come over there. So we rescheduled for 2.) Thalia really liked looking at the pictures and jabbering about them even though we had no idea what she said. The best part, though, was when Michaya was shown a picture of a boy in a car and was told, "The boy is not in a truck. Where is he?" The answer she was looking for, of course, was "in the car." Michaya's response? "He's RIGHT THERE!"
Misty's been pretty much the best friend in the universe. For something as little as letting her live with us for a few weeks, she's been an amazing lifesaver. She's awesome with the girls, she helps me when I'm sick, helps with the housework, etc. I wish I could keep her FOREVER AND EVER.
Girls' 3rd birthday is this next week, which is SO CRAZY. We've got some things ready for their party - a Blue's Clues cake pan, a Steve shirt, and a bevy of party and craft ideas to be prepared over this next weekend, I think. My folks are coming out for sure, and O's mom might be coming too. I still need to decide who to invite so we can get things like party hats and plates and stuff. I'm excited though. This is the first REAL party we've done for the girls. The last couple was all family and adult friends, and we didn't really do anything other than a cake. This year, though, we'll be inviting kids and having activities and stuff. I think it'll be awesome.
