Three days ago Delilah learned to pull herself up on her knees. Yesterday, she figured out how to pull up to stand fully. Tonight she's cruising around! Walking while holding onto stuff. She is so proud of herself that she is squealing, giggling, and making wheezy dolphin noises. Oh my god, my baby wants to walk! She just turned 8 months old on the ( Read more... )

Sorry for the delay--you caught me on the tail end of a visit with my parents, making the trek back to my place, and now a busy busy day of new job "orientation" (which was super simple, since it's just babysitting, but you know).

I have to give a big huuuge whattheFUCK to that doctor!!! How could she possibly think that's okay to say?!? Talk about unprofessional. Have you considered filing a complaint? That just doesn't seem right.

Ugh omg, that gas trip! So my parents offered to fill up my tank before I left and since they save $0.10/gal with their grocery rewards card at Shell, I initially went there to fill up. On my way, I noticed that gas was $3.37 at two nearby stations (we're talking like right down the street). Finally got to Shell, only to see that it was $3.57! F that. I then had to call my parents, ask if they wanted to be loyal to Shell (they kind of hate the other two stations nearby) or save money. They opted for the latter, so I got back in my car and went down to Circle K. I started to fill up but it stopped me at $50. I'd seen signs elsewhere about how some cards/banks have a limit of $50/transaction, so I was ready to stop, take my receipt, then reinsert my card and finish filling up. However, the dumb pump just went blank and I had to walk in, wait awhile, and explain myself over and over to the attendant, who didn't know what to do. A second attendant finally came out and tried to tell me that the pump was working fine. After showing her that it definitely was not working, I had to start my car again and move to another pump. It only took $8.88 more (I was expecting it to be over $60--I have a huge tank), which really hardly ended up being worth it. So frustrating though!

...and that concludes the longest thing I've ever written about getting gas, haha.

I've got an appointment this Wednesday and I plan on coming in early and asking if she'll be the doctor I see, and also asking to not see her again and why I don't want to. So, so shitty. I really dislike her and I hope I don't see her again. A couple appointments ago they promised I'd be seeing a certain doc who is really cool and I dig and instead I've been seeing this bitch. Ugh.

That is also ridiculous! Gas is so expensive and it's total bs. I am completely over it at this point. I wish I worked closer, I would love to bike to work again. I'm applying to a few more places in the next few days and they're all within reasonable biking/walking distance, which rules. I was in such great shape when I biked to work everyday. Diesel is like, $4 a gallon now! And it's around $3.57 or so here for regular.
