I have to explain. Um, someone pointed out to me how my scientific methods of determining things like criminality weren't... scientific at all, on the grounds all the evidence I had to back them up was, essentially, obtained under, shall we say, severe interrogation techniques.

That's not entirely the point. I also noticed that the way I theorised criminality has, on the Roundworld, an association with the sort of opinions people like Mr Booth were saying about you. I... first of all, I don't agree with that kind of thing and was, even then, a little horrified that kind of association was made, and that kind of reasoning used against... well, you know. But now I know it doesn't even really stand up to scientific rationale?

I think I ought to apologise on behalf of, well, myself, as I theorised it on the Disc, for coming up with a scientific theory which was used in that kind of way, which was not even a real science.
