Patriotism: Not just for the Olympics, anymore.
Oh god, so happy. So relieved.
The world seems right again. McCain has emerged from a trance and seems to be himself again. I watched everyone cry as they were promised honesty and realism from the president elect. I heard gracious words from the current president about the transitions.
I see people actually hopeful about the future.
As far as the issues go, it's a mixed bag, but there were several wonderful victories. Local, national, personal, racial, international.
As far as direction changes, hopefulness of the nation, the possibility of unity, the acknowledgment of the hard work ahead...I am thrilled. I am hopeful. I can actually envision staying in the country, under the leadership of this man.
All change is possible. This atom, that cell, these particles, all changing.
So much work to do. So. Much. Work. And yet, hope.
