Light After Dark
Just got Clare Maguire's debut - Light After Dark. And all I can say it is one grandiose piece of album put together and a good hear in a long time. Drawing comparison from all the greats like Annie Lennox and Tori Amos Claire Maguire has managed to put forth a debut that is at once emotive in heartbreak and swooping in musical production with the right tinge of inspiration and happiness.
It's been a while since I've heard an artist so tender yet dramatic since Charlotte Martin which makes me excited about Claire Maguire, yes she's definitely going down the same path of other piano playing songstresses like Vanessa Carlton, Sara Bareilles and more. But she shines somehow, all on her own.
More things to come, I hope from her.
