Let me lay out the facts:
This whole bitter tryst between Amanda F. Palmer and myself began to rear it's ugly head last week, when she, obviously knowing the implications, posted a piece of fan art on her twitter feed. "Oh, what a nice thing to do", you think to yourself, right? Well, I'm afraid that you would be wrong. It would appear that Ms. Palmer has decided to use this opportunity to inspire hatred and fear in the hearts of many. What deed committed would incur such wrath? The piece of fan art was attributed to the Twitter user @PLMD, who was clearly not responsible for this, what many call "awesome", piece of artwork.
Let's look at the facts here, shall we? Twitter user
@PLMD is in fact the sudanom used by graphic designers Pierre Smeets (b. 1981), and his co-conspirator Damien Aresta (b. 1979), a pair from Belgium (yes, that Belgium). If you would like to chalk this all down to a simple 'typo', then let me point you to this page on P.L.M.D.'s website:
The Word Magazine. This is a folio entry of them parading their work done for 'The Word' magazine, the very same publication who's affiliated web-blog (or 'blog'), had some interesting things to say about, yes, you guessed it, Amanda F. Palmer:
Web-log entry. This is clear evidence of Ms. Palmer and her people scheming with the global-publishing powerhouse Development Hell Ltd, against the true owner of the art work called in to question. And who is this person, I hear you cry? Well, that person is me. Now I don't mean to sound as if this was a personal attack on myself, or that any prejudice is involved, but being a homo-sexual, who had a stroke in January of this year, I can only assume that this was an unmotivated attack by Ms. Palmer, and her buddies at Roadrunner Records. If the web of intrigue ended there, then that would be one thing. But, it does not.
I am a rational, level-headed individual, but this very evening I was blinded with rage when I saw that Ms. Palmer decided to make her intentions against my person mule-bleedingly clear. Several weeks ago, when the well publicized protests in Malaysia or somewhere reached a peak in the media-conciousness, I decided to make a stand the most powerful way that I could, by altering my Twitter icon to depict myself wearing a green blindfold, to show that I, like many, was bored of watching this continuous coverage. Enter Amanda. She has once again plagiarized my work, having her art department create an image depicting herself wearing a shockingly similar green bandana across her eyes. When you google the phrase 'Green Blindfold Twitter', you get just 47,100 results. And you honestly expect me to believe that Ms. Palmer could have had such an idea from anywhere but my Twitter page?
These attacks are nothing new in the world of Amanda F. Palmer. There was a well publicized incident where YouTube user
Medicamina posted a video of her applying her trademark eye-brow makeup as tutorial for others, out of the goodness of her heart. Palmer soon adopted this distinctive facial-hair, and then claimed that she was the person to come up with it, going as far as to using her record industry minions to alter the original video on Medicamina's YouTube page to make it appear that she had drawn inspiration from Palmer, and not the other way round. Most of the press surrounding this media fiasco has since been silenced, again by Ms. Palmers crack team of service people. Altered video here:
Makeup Tips I feel that it is my obligation, on behalf of myself, and the literally thousands of people that have been affected by Palmer's reign of terror upon the internet community, to declare an official feud upon Ms. Amanda F. Palmer, and move to promote myself to the state of 'International Nemesis', as outlined in the Internet Code, Section 56, Paragraph 2. For now, I wish you all, a goodnight, and good luck.
