remembering Venice ~

As I drove by the Bay downtown on my daily commute this morning, I noticed something that reminded me of Venice.  The Bay was under renovation, and the store front on Seymour Street was cladded with scaffolding.  But I saw something that I've never seen in Vancouver before (and only seen in Venice), the scaffolding was covered with a painting of the original facade!  I was very delighted when I saw this, because it reduces the ugliness of the construction.  Plus, it made me think of Venice, one of my favourite places that I've visited.
