Okay so I have this necklace and it has a little gold birdcage with a bird in it (like, a pendant but it's three-dimensional and not really small enough to be called a pendant, so not a pendant at all really), which if I were to ever have the kinds of dreams that would make me question reality in ways that are more than "oh I thought that was real D:" after I wake up, THEN THAT WOULD BE MY TOTEM.

It's one of my favourite pieces of jewellery! One time the cashier at the gas station was like "your necklace is beautiful!" - actually I think that was the same guy who on another day asked whether or not I'd had a party the night before because I had the remnants of probably like half a pot of glitter smeared all over my eyes at seven-thirty in the morning. But uh, yeah, it gets commented on quite a lot, though I don't recall anyone else actually touching it, SO, STILL A VIABLE TOTEM.
