Since I plan on taking number 10 especially seriously, this will be my last post. Unless something huge happens, I don't plan on using this journal anymore, except to read up on everyone else every couple of weeks, since staying in touch can be so hard otherwise. No more LJ, AIM, or Facebook. I will, of course, still check my email regularly for school reasons. If anyone doesn't have that address, it's elp238@nyu.edu. And my cell is 502.387.9658.
I sure do have my work cut out for me on the academic resolutions. Especially number 8. I've never gotten all A's in my life...
Still, I love the freshness of that feeling of hope. It's like Reconciliation. Every past fuck-up and failure is absolved, and you're left with nothing but a clean slate so long as you're willing to try again. I'd rather go from hope to failure a thousand times than to lose fresh hope even once. What's the fun in living if you've already given up?
"Experience is depressing, and it would be a mistake to be willing to learn from it." -Edward Bond
Happy New Years, everyone. Let's make 2006 a year to remember.
