LET THERE BE ROCK...AND BY ROCK, I MEAN CHILDREN'S CARD GAMES
I've been lurking around this community for a little bit...IT'S AWESOME. But I finally had a crack idea in my head. Well, semi-crack.
So, I was listening to my iPod when a YGO:DM song came on. I started to stare at the album cover (Vocal Best)...
That got me thinking...what if the guys of YGO formed a band? Who would do what? WHY are they playing music and not children's card games? What would their band be named? Would they be any GOOD? I mean, their main skill is playing card games...What songs?
After pondering that for awhile, I came up with this setup:
Lead Singer = Otogi - he can get them fangirls because he's SOOO SMEXY...and aren't the lead singers usually the prettiest?
Lead Guitar = Yami/Atem - the album cover influenced me...and he's just good at everything. Anything Yuugi can do, Yami/Atem can do better...
Bass = Honda - Hey, he needs SOME coolness factor...
Drums = Jounouchi - I see him as ADHD and he can spazz out on the drums
~*NEW MEMBER*~ Rhythm Guitar = Yuugi - add more sound and we should include him since he IS the main character.
Then a friend and I started talking about their songs when we were playing Rock Band one night. We changed the titles to some songs on Rock Band:
"Activate Activate Activate That Trap Card" ("Give It Away Now")
"Card Game Star" ("Highway Star")
"Main Offender" (same as regular title; BLACK MAGICIAN'S MY MAIN OFFENDEEEEERRRRR...)
"Duel On" ("Float On")
"Carry On My Card Games, Son" ("Carry On Wayward Son;" we actually wrote some lyrics to this)
"Let There Be Children's Card Games" ("Let There Be Rock")
"Should I Draw or Should I Fold" ("Should I Stay or Should I Go")
And just for fun, "My Voice (Gives Me Super Strength)" for YGOTAS and "Anyway You Ship It" for the YGO fandom. We wrote lyrics to that as well (posted below in comments if interested).
Yeah...it was an interesting conversation/night.
Your thoughts? Who would be in YOUR ideal YGO band?

The Villians: Zorc & Pals vs. Marik's Evil Band of DOOM
I also found the notebook with our parody lyrics. Apparently, we had a three-part movement called "PUZZLESHIPPING TO THE MAX"...
