Shipping names?

Apr 16, 2009 20:14

Okay, I guess this is a bit off topic for this community, but I have a question that has been bugging me for as long as I remember. Why the heck is Yami Bakura/Bakura called Tendershipping? It makes no sense D:
And can someone tell me if there's already a name for Yami Malik/Ryou/Malik? There isn't one in the shippers lists, but maybe someone ( Read more... )

I still use the names, mostly for the lulz.

But as for why it's Tendershipping. Well, Yami no Bakura likes his steak. Ryou is a creampuff.

And love is rarely tender. /bad joke

idk, some of them make sense, like Puzzleshipping. Some, I don't even know. 8|

Pffff, it makes even less sense now -shot-

I'd say Puzzleshipping is the the one that makes most sense. But it's not just the names, most of the pairings on the list are kind of "WTF".

Actually, I think it came from the fics where at first Yami no Bakura would be cruel to Ryou, but through the magic of ~*truelove*~ and some buttsex, he became a lot kinder.

Or something. :\

Yeah... idk. I like to think they're for the lulz.

Poor Ryou, there should be some kind of Save The Omote association, or something :/ he's always the abused one, I'd love to see him beat the crap out of Yami Bakura for once.

Be it for the lulz or not, pairings like Seto x Ryou x Miho still makes me wonder who came up with them.

Seto/Ryou/Miho actually makes some sense if you watch the first YGO anime. Miho aka Ribbons-chan is an actual character in the series and ends up with crushes on both Seto and Miho.

Oh, really? I never watched the first anime, and I know Miho just from the manga. Well, I guess in that case it makes some sense.

Uh.... look farther down the list and you'll find Sugoroku/Anzu. I think that one's at least honest going by 'pervshipping' or somewhat. ._.

iawtc. even if it means we're giving fandom WAY too much credit by assuming they're being clever *flails*

Yeah, I was browsing some of the list, and the majority of them, it's like "You canNOT be serious!" I think I actually shuddered at the thought of some. Others, I don't think the characters actually ever met.

Although, crack pairings in and of themselves are ftw. V

Of course, but there are a few pairings that are just ...no. Like Cardshipping ...and anything with Grandpa ...just. No. I'm a huge crack pairing person, but even I draw the line in some places, LOL!!

I'd say Puzzleshipping is the the one that makes most sense.

Prideshipping and Puppyshipping make sense too. ^^'

*still can't get over the shipping names that stand for orgies* I'd worship anyone who's write a decent Yuumeishipping any day!

Seconded. Puppetshipping. *shudders*
