So, I would like to do a YGO cosplay this year for Halloween. Problem: I don't know how to do the pointy hair. Can anyone give me some pointers (lol, pun) on how to keep it from looking like crap? I know there's at least one of you out there that knows how to do it right.

I agree. I'm handy with a sewing machine and I'm crafty with props but I'm not confident in 'wigging' at all. It isn't that I haven't tried, either... I couldn't count on my fingers the number of tutorials I've read on wig styling, and still I feel like I have no idea how to go about doing it. I tried to put my knowledge to practice and my attempt at sharpie dying a wig bright purple turned out a grey mess. It's not that I can't follow instructions, it's that I'm a totally visual person. I think a lot of people are like me, and there's nothing wrong with that. It just makes it very difficult to see how these things are done. ): (And while practice makes perfect... we don't all have the time and money to spend making numerous wigs when we only want to make one ambitious wig for one certain costume.)

(I'm saying this because your Yusei tutorial was helpful to me! I haven't tried anything yet but it's given me ideas. Great job on it, by the way.)

Saying wig styling is 'so easy' is like saying math is 'so easy'. It's 'so easy' to some people, but it's all Greek to me. ):
